Nitobond® EP(Std)

Nitobond® EP(Std) is a two component epoxy bonding agent supplied in pre-weighed quantities for ready on-site mixing and use.

Precautions

  • Health & Safety

Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. Gloves should be used when handling these products. If contact with the resin occurs, skin should be washed immediately with strong detergent. A resin removing cream should be used. Eye contamination must be immediately washed with sufficient quantity of water and medical treatment sought.

  • Fire 

Nitobond® EP Std is flammable. No naked flame should be allowed near the site. Do not smoke during use.

Bonding old and new cementitious substrates.

Uses

  • For bonding new cementitious materials to existing cementitious surfaces
  • For use on horizontal surfaces and on vertical surfaces where mortar or concrete can be supported by formwork
  • Ideal for extensions and repairs to concrete in factories, loading bays, trucking aisles, bridges, roads, bonded or granolithic floor toppings, etc

 

 

Actual coverage will depend upon the texture and porosity of the substrates being covered. Typically, 1Litre pack will cover about 2.0-2.5 m2 and 4 litre pack around 8.0 – 10.0m2

 

 

12 months shelf life when stored under normal wear house conditions below 350 C in unopened containers.

Limitations

  • Nitobond EP is formulated for application to clean, sound concrete.
  • Nitobond EP should not be applied over existing coatings.
  • Application should not be undertaken if the temperature is below 5°C, or is 5°C and falling.
  • Although Nitobond EP may be applied to damp concrete, there must be no standing or running water.
